What is Hazardous Waste Management?
Hazardous-waste management is the collection, treatment, and disposal of waste material that when handled improperly can cause substantial harm to human health and safety or to the environment. Hazardous waste can take the form of solids, liquids, sludges, or contained gases. They are generated primarily by chemical production, manufacturing, and other industrial activities. Improper hazardous-waste storage and disposal frequently contaminate surface and groundwater supplies.
The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) governs waste management and materials recovery and reuse, including the disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous solid waste. In support of RCRA, EPA developed test methods for the analysis of various environmental media. These test methods can be found in the EPA publication, Test Methods for Evaluating Solid Waste: Physical/Chemical Methods,, also known as SW-846.

Whenever there is a fire or disaster at the workplace, it is necessary for the local fire department to discover what is in your workspace which can have different requirements in every city and state. CK Solutions takes the inventory of chemicals and materials that need to be documented and then we make material safety data sheets (MSDS) to adhere to local rules.
